Live the sea at 360°

Here we are again……
Just as some years ago, we are sitting with two beers looking at our sea.

But this time, we are on the deck of Handé, a wonderful wooden Caique with two masts that my friend Gaddo found in Turkey. After crossing the Mediterranean Sea, we anchored here again, in Capo Galera´s Bay, just in front of the Villa on the cliff, the base of the Diving Center.

So…In just few words I have to explain this new adventure of Gaddo: to expand the spirit of Capo Galera, sailing along the coast and accompanying people along these magical coasts, dotted by ancient towers, with a sea that has seen the mysterious Civilisation of the "Nuraghi", the Phoenician vessels and later the Romans, then the Spanish galleys and the barbarian too.

During the long journey from the eastern Mediterranean, I read again an old book of Conrad, a long time forgotten in my sailor-bag, and I found a sentence that gives a good idea of the magic and the beauty you can experience sailing with Handé :

`Watching a coast as it slips by the ship is like thinking about an enigma. There it is before you - smiling, frowning, inviting, grand, mean, insipid, or savage, and always mute with an air of whispering, ‘Come and find out.’`

On board there are 7 large cabins, each with private bathroom, a large living room, and on the deck a lot of space to enjoy the sun and the sea. The boat is fully equipped for diving, and you can easily dive from a six meters long tender boat.

Departing from Alghero you can choose to participate at different diving cruises: In southern direction, reaching Carloforte and visiting Bosa and the “Sinis”, finding castles and archaeological treasures above the sea and magnificent coasts and lively shallows under the sea ... In northern direction, until Corsica, discovering the “Argentiera” and the “Strait of Bonifacio”, with the beautiful beaches of Stintino and the Asinara marine park...
