The Dutchman´s Villa (Capo Galera Diving Center)

Capo Galera

The coast of Capo Galera is the starting point of the stretch of water protected by the Capo Caccia - Isola Piana Protected Marine Area. On its summit stands what the people of Alghero know as the “Dutchman´s Villa”, built in the 50s of the last century by a Dutch oil magnate, and now home to a diving center.

The carbonate plateau below looks like it is composed of large Lego bricks, fractured in an incredibly regular way, as if to further enhance the beauty of this stretch of coast. Capo Galera is a rocky cliff of the Riviera del Corallo, which forms the southern end of the Marine Protected Area of Capo Caccia, in the territory of Alghero (Sardinia)
